Sharp cuts, hot towels, James North.
Scissor cuts, skin fades, beards and straight-razor shaves, between Cannon and Barton.
The shop
Four chairs and a razor counter
Standard Cut opened in 2013 in an old shoe repair shop. We kept the long counter at the back, and that is where the razors, strops and hot towels live now.
Four barbers, a bench by the window and a kettle for whoever is waiting. The radio carries the football when there is a game on, and not much when there is not.

In the chair
Three things, done properly
Scissor and clipper cuts
Classic cuts, tapers and skin fades. We ask how you wear it on a Tuesday, not only how you want it to look on the way out.
Beards
Shaped with clippers, lined with a razor and finished with oil. Cut to your jaw, not to a picture on a phone.
Straight-razor shaves
Two hot towels, lather worked in by brush, two passes and a cold towel to close. A fresh blade for every face.
Walk-ins every day we are open, until 4. Put your name on the board and grab a seat.

Every day. Tash and Dev cut coils and waves all week, and we keep the guards and trimmers for tight fades.
Until nine on the second Friday of every month. The kettle is on.

The light's on until seven.
