Home cleaning · Halifax and Dartmouth

The same two cleaners, every other week.

Recurring and move-out cleaning for row houses, flats and apartments, from the Hydrostone to downtown Dartmouth. Book a pair once and they are yours for as long as you want them.

How a visit goes

Top to bottom, dry to wet, in the same order every time.

Your pair arrives with everything: a HEPA vacuum, a steam mop, unscented supplies and colour-coded cloths, so the cloth that did the bathroom never touches the kitchen counter.

They work the house in one order, high shelves before floors and kitchen before bathrooms, which is how two people finish a two-bedroom flat in about three hours. You get a text when they arrive and a photo of the kitchen when they lock up.

Every visit

What gets done, room by room

The same list on every recurring visit. Anything beyond it is an extra, priced before we book.

Kitchen

Counters, backsplash, sink and taps scrubbed. Stovetop degreased, fronts of the fridge, oven and dishwasher wiped, inside of the microwave cleaned.

Bathrooms

Tub, shower, tile and grout lines scrubbed. Toilet inside and out, base included. Mirror, taps and vanity polished.

Floors

Vacuumed edge to edge, stairs and runners included, under every bed we can reach. Hard floors steam-mopped.

Dusting

Baseboards, sills, door frames, radiators, light switches and every shelf you can reach from a step stool.

Bedrooms

Beds made, or changed if you leave clean sheets on the mattress.

Garbage and recycling

Emptied, bags replaced, and sorted into clear bags, blue bags and the green cart the way the city wants them.

The regulars

Homes on the schedule

We have had the same two for almost three years. They know the dog, they know which stair creaks, and they have never once put the good knives in the dishwasher. I stopped tidying before they come.

Priya

Hydrostone, every other Thursday

Our move-out was a hundred-year-old flat with a gas stove nobody had cleaned since the eighties. The landlord walked through, said nothing, and we got the whole damage deposit back.

Colin

Move-out, North End

I asked for unscented everything because of my asthma, and it turned out they already use it. Small thing, but nobody else ever asked.

Questions

Before your first clean

Do I need to be home?

Most people aren't. Leave a key in our coded lockbox or give us your door code. Keys are tagged with a number, never your address.

What if you miss something?

Tell us within two days and the same pair comes back to redo it, at no charge.

Are your cleaners insured?

Every cleaner is on our payroll and covered by WCB Nova Scotia, and we carry $2 million in liability insurance.

Should I tip?

It's never expected. Our cleaners earn an hourly wage whether a visit runs short or long, which is why nobody rushes.

What about pets?

Tell us who they are and whether they can go outside. We keep doors closed wherever you ask.

Do you clean after renovations?

Yes, as a separate quote. Drywall dust needs its own filters and usually two visits.

Tell us the house. We'll tell you the price.

Bedrooms, bathrooms and the neighbourhood are enough. You get a fixed price per visit before anyone picks a date.
